Former Deans Community High School students and Science Ambassadors; Adam Fotheringham, Cameron Mein, Tyler Cameron, Lucy Carroll, Emma Higgins, Holly Harrison and Sebestyen Toth returned to the Science Faculty on Tuesday to speak with students about how to be successful in exams and in the sciences as well as give advice on how to get ahead in further and higher education. After a successful 6 years at Deans, all the former Science Ambassadors have successfully completed their first year at various Universities, where they are all studying Science related subjects, and were keen to share their experiences to help the current senior students at Deans.

Our current students form S5 & S6 were given time to listen and ask questions on the former student's personal experiences of successfully navigating through National 5's, Highers and Advanced Highers. They were given hints and tips on study and work life balance and on the commitment to hard work that is needed to be successful.

They also spoke about their experiences of life at University which all the S5/6 students found really interesting. Finally they spoke about the increasing number of opportunities in the Sciences that are out there which was encouraging news for all our students who are keen to progress in the sciences. Students were very appreciative of their advice and guidance especially at this time when they are starting to plan and prepare their study routines to help them to achieve their potential, just like our Former Science Ambassadors from 2017/18.
