Successful Bridge Building Activity


Thanks to Jed, who emailed this report about the bridge making activity in XL,  "we had to split into groups to make a bridge. We used straws, paper and sellotape.  We all worked as a team on the bridge and did a plan about how we were making it. Calum is the Scottish Youth Champion 2014


Calum Stephen won the Scottish National 2014 Fly Fishing Youth Championship last weekend, catching 15 fish on the day with 24 over the two days.  There were over 25 boys fishing in the competition.   The Scotland team for 2015 was also chosen from their scores over the two days. Another Excellent Year for Deans Exam Results!

Students Take Part in New CBBC T.V. Drama


Over the summer holidays, nine S3 and S4 Drama students got the opportunity to take part as extras in the filming of a new CBBC T.V. Show "EVE". Students spent a day on set filming classroom scenes in the Maths department whilst learning about the different jobs in a T.V. crew. Soul Destroyers Win Day at Recording Studio


Congratulations to The Soul Destroyers who came 2nd out of 25 groups in the West Lothian Battle Of The Bands competition at the Bathgate Regal Theatre tonight. Adam and Ryan helped Scotland team to Victory!

Craig Wins Double Gold in Record Times

Giant Heptathlon Team Win Regional Final

Team ROBUS Win Through to National Final


The F1 in schools event was held at Fife College last week and the teams competing came from all over Scotland. Teams were judged on the engineering of their car, their pit display, a verbal presentation and their car's speed. Handball Team Win National Title at Ravenscraig


After qualifying for the nationals at Napier University last year, our S1/2 handball team arrived at Ravenscraig Sports Centre on Friday confident that they could bring the national trophy back to Deans.   The boys played Our Lady's in the final, who they had drawn 8-8 with in the round robin earlier in the day. Senior Boys Basketball Team Win Round 2


The Senior Boys Basketball team worked very well together to win all their Round 2 games against Inveralmond, The James Young, St Margaret's and Broxburn.
