Students Present Cheque to Dogs Trust
Rachel from the Dog's Trust visited our Princes Trust Achieve group recently to collect a cheque from the students. The group raised the money through a sponsored walk for their Community Project part of their course. Dog's Trust are one of the charities the group decided to support.

Deans Awarded Top Sports Accolade 2017
Deans Community High School, Livingston has been recognised by sportscotland with a prestigious national award for innovation and achievement in delivering physical education and extra-curricular sport.

Charlotte Achieves Diamond Challenge

Duke of Edinburgh - Indoor Tent Pitching
With school starting back, training for the Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions also stepped up a gear. This session was tent pitching - indoor rather than out and a lot warmer than the expeditions planned for April!

Gold Medal at National Swimming Championships
Swimmer, Dylan Hurst has competed at the SDS National Junior Swimming Championships for the past two years. Dylan won a Bronze and Silver medal last year and was delighted to finally win a Gold medal in breaststroke this year.
This is a significant achievement as it demonstrates Dylan's swim progression and his hard work to improve his technique, stamina and speed.

School Till Payment Information
From January 2017 any future cash or cheque payments should be made through the school office rather than the community reception. This will be open from 8.30am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.30am to 1.00pm on a Friday. Outwith these times any payments should be made online using the Council’s preferred ipayimpact online payment system.

Students Launch Xroute Report at City Chambers
Paul Brown, Scott Forbes, Gary Brown & Lizzie Brown helped launch the Xroute Report at the City Chambers. Along with Young Scot & The Vennie, they have helped find out young people’s views on active travel.
