Deans Go Dutch

During Activities week, 40 students went to Amsterdam for the week.  We visited Anne Frank's House, the Nemo Science Centre, Ajax Stadium, a Clog and Cheese Factory, the International Court at the Hague and the Zoo. Sports Day 2015 - a Great Success

On Friday 29 May our fastest, fittest and strongest students competed in Sports Day 2015. All students involved were fantastic and rightly won points for their house. This year also saw the introduction of our alternate events so that students not involved in the finals could still win house points. Students will be awarded medals on Tuesday 23 June, where we will also be celebrating winning the schools sports league 2015. ...Read More

Deans Dominate Basketball Finals

Congratulations to the S1/S2 and the S3/S4 DCHS Basketball Teams who both won Gold at the West Lothian Schools Basketball Finals, this added with the S5/S6 runners up means that Deans have dominated Schools basketball in West Lothian this year.  These two titles have further added to the outstanding points total in the SSP League with Deans set to claim the prestigious honours this year - with only the Athletics competition to go ...Read More

Ukulele Club Success

The Deans and Cedarbank Ukulele Club were superstars last week. They spent the morning in the studio recording their first ever EP which will be officially launch on June 16th! They then spent the afternoon at Peacock Nursing Home performing a live concert to the local residents. West Lothian Speaks Competition

Eight teams competed in the West Lothian Speaks debating competition hosted by Deans Community High School last week.  After an excellent first round, in which the overall standard of debating was very high, Linlithgow and Armadale Academies went through to the final. S1-3 Netball Team Win West Lothian Finals

Our S1-S3 girls netball team have played extremely well over the last few months and this run of play contimued  in the West Lothian finals on Friday afternoon, alongside Bathgate, Linlithgow and Armadale.   The scores were as follows:  Deans 6 - 1 Linlithgow, Deans 3 - 0 Bathgate, Deans 4 - 7 Armadale.   The team then faced Armadale in the final and managed to win 6-5, meaning the girls were the overall winners of the ...Read More
