During session 2014/15, the school consulted with parents, carers, students and staff on the number of National Qualifications each student would sit in S4.  This resulted in the decision to move from 8 to 6 National Qualifications.

Our current S4 students are the third group to sit 6 subjects and we are now in the process of evaluating whether or not this is the most suitable option for our students.

As part of this evaluation, we have been consulting with students and staff within the school, and would now like to seek the views of parents and carers.

We will be holding a Curriculum Consultation Event on Thursday 16th May 2019.

The purpose of this event is to give you an opportunity to hear more about the rationale behind each option and ask any questions you may have around this, rather than simply give you a survey without the background information.

The consultation evening will comprise of a short presentation with a chance to ask any questions. Following on from this we will issue the link to a survey to allow us to collate your views.

There will be a choice of times for the events 4pm or 7pm and the presentation will take place in Deans Community High School Theatre.

We look forward to seeing you at the event where we are keen to hear your views.
