Career Education: A World of Possibilities Leaflet

NPFS has developed a publication for parents which provides a helpful introduction to the new programme of career education.

Career education will deliver key entitlements to all of our children and young people. These will ensure that Scotland’s children acquire the skills and knowledge they need so that they can reach the futures that are right for them. Have a look at the leaflet (link below) for further details of how this will work and how parents can support their children.

Career Education: A World of Possibilities

MCMC - More Choices More Chances

More Choices, More chances is a local authority led partnership that provides young people approaching their school leaving date, the opportunity and support to reach their full potential.

The keyworker for Deans Community High School is Ian Wood who works along side Mr Gray, the Transition to Work Co-Ordinator.

Young people are given the opportunity to participate in a more flexible curriculum which may include extended work placements, sports/outward bound opportunities and college/vocational training opportunities.   Yvonne continues to provide support to young people once they have left school to ensure that they are assisted into work, training and/or education and so have a 16+ learning opportunity.
